On 6 November 2026 in Dubai, Dr Baback Amen, MD, Medical Director of MedBridge Global, delivered the keynote Beyond Longevity: Precision Healthspan Design and the Medicine of the Future at a Therme Future event.
The argument: bring precision back
The keynote starts from a simple observation: “longevity” has become one of the most widely used words in modern health, and in the process it has lost much of its meaning. Dr Amen’s talk set out to bring precision back to the conversation.
According to the keynote outline, the talk covered:
- The seven domains of chronic disease that account for most illness and premature death in affluent societies.
- How risk in each domain can be quantified long before symptoms appear.
- A scientific method for addressing disease in its earliest stages and building biological resilience in people who are still well, using approaches that are evidence-based, modality-agnostic and tailored to the individual.
- The defining challenge for the sector: delivering personalized medicine of this standard at scale.

The MedBridge Global team’s view
Precision is also how we think about clinical education. A term only helps clinicians if it leads to something they can define, measure and apply to the person in front of them, within their scope and local regulations.
Dr Amen is a faculty lead on our Certification in Precision Medicine for registered healthcare practitioners in Australia, with live webinars beginning February 2, 2027.
